Technical Challenges
The client required replacement of faulty DN200 (8”) Butterfly Valve without service interruption.
Technical Solutions
DN200 (8”) Inflatable Line Stop was proposed to stop the flow of water on live pipe to replace valve. Additionally, pipe freezing was also added to ensure the flow of water is isolated for additional assurance.
Our pipeline specialists performed the inflatable Line Stop operation and followed up with pipe freezing to replace the faulty valve.
ALSTERN successfully replaced the butterfly valve without any system interruption to the plant’s operations.
